Who one unknown about the majesty of Java region such as glory, culture, simplicity, hospitality of every citizen and all sides of special behavior towards the other person. The fact there are two region that ticked culture beside of word Nusantara. The fact there are two region that ticked Java culture beside of word Nusantara, Yogyakarta and Surakarta. In the beginning of the story of Java Surakarta’s had been the first thick culture that Indonesia country, then Yogyakarta following as a former pioneer from the Surakarta kingdom. Beside that history of Mataram kingdom separates four parts that divided equally there two in the Yogyakarta and two parts others in the Surakarta or nowadays named Solo. The different of two regions are Surakarta kingdom just a symbol culture of Java and Yogyakarta has a special named that called (DIY) was occupied the political realm to become the Governor and also Deputy Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY).

    In the Surakarta there are many events fill in cultural heritage such Javanese mostly. There are more twenty event a year activity, said chief of Surakarta tourism office. That agenda’s aspect includes of monthly event each village. Here I am as a student who has internship program in Surakarta Tourism Office will told about big event are there. The annual Solo event there are six events such Solo Batik Carnival mostly people call it (SBC), SIPA (Solo Performing Art), Festival Keronconng, Festival Kethoprak, Dalang Bocah, the last are Solo City Jazz. Every year we can catch cultural agenda’s in Solo, so don’t miss it. The first SBC was held on April 2008 routed the main street of Solo City that are Slamet Riyadi Street. Every year the holding of a Batik Carnival Solo by the tourism office side always carries the theme in this big agenda. Coincide in 2018 carrying the theme of any action that involves violence, discrimination, and harassment based on self-identity and race or to be called Sara’s action. There are 158 participants, this amount does not include guest delegation from outside city and foreign. 

Solo Performing Art or was known as SIPA, that first performance held on 7-10 August 2009 ago. The rationale is making a performing art as a tool to unite the spirit of many aspect. The intended art performance shown about an ethnic (traditional region), modern or contemporary. For the show included dance, theater or music.  It is expected performance art can be interpreted as one part of cultural life which is invisible or intangible. It is mean throughout the performance art can show up that cultural heritage. That concept makes understanding about performing arts in the city of Solo, so it’s not wrong if Solo could call with City of Culture.

    Keroncong Festival are still heard in the Solo city. It is also routinely held by the Solo City Government. That festival is usually attended by various of groups young and adult.  As a listener I always attended for three days on the time, it is around of August and free cost. Commonly the location of the festival not fixed so you must look at the agenda Solo. If you visited Solo city these no completely if you not saw Kethoprak Festival. There are many cultural artists who has performance Javanese joke by the groups. That agenda usually held in the building of Balai Kambang around of August, that agenda expected has regeneration in Solo society ordered not forgot that cultural heritage performance. Solo city has a unique performance to regeneration that cultural heritage, that are Dalang Bocah. There are included 100 participants in outside city such Aceh, Batam and the last are Jakarta. It doesn’t stop there; Solo city also provides free cost to watched that festival.

   Beside the agenda’s culture, Solo has unforgettable performance. Solo City Jazz, it’s around of August too agenda. The agenda are biggest musical performance in Solo City, that invited top artist too. That very satisfying event, because is also without an entrance ticket, so for you who want to watch the international rating festival don’t miss it the greatest musically show  in the Solo city.
